About Gail

Art has always been a part of me, although for many years life pulled me away from the creative process. Recently, that creativity has come alive again, and I’m choosing to lean into it fully.

Born and raised in Newcastle in the northeast of England, I later crossed the Atlantic and settled in California. My Geordie roots are at the heart of Geordie Soul Art. Alongside my art, I work as a sign language interpreter, which has given me a deep appreciation for expression, connection, and the many ways we communicate and share our stories.

My work is inspired by travel, treasured memories, and the beauty found in everyday moments. Sicily—its colors, character, food, landscapes, and way of life—is a particular source of inspiration. Above all, I create art to bring joy, spark a memory, or evoke a meaningful feeling that may be difficult to put into words.
